We offer a variety of activities in and around the lodge, to offer you, our special guests, something different, interesting and rewarding to add to your African adventures.

BUSH  WALK (LODGE) - R 150 p/p

Our area is an interesting niche eco system with some smaller wild game and prolific bird life, together with the smaller inhabitants of our bush. Flora and fauna is varied but you can expect to see  Zebra, Kudu, Blue-wildebeest, Impala and Grey duiker, Bushbuck, Warthog and occasionally Leopard and Hyena. Bird life is seasonal and the following species can be found: Purple-crested Turaco, Grey Go-away bird, Levaillant’s Cuckoo, African Emerald Cuckoo, Wood owl, Scops owl both Southern white-faced and African, Woodland kingfisher, African pygmy-kingfisher, Black cuckoo shrike. Flycatchers, and many more.

SHANGAAN VILLAGE WALK - R 100 P/P Take a guided walk for approx. 2½ hours visiting and meeting the local people in the area. With a visit to the local clinic, a local trading  store, school, homes of the local people, and a visit to the local herbal/spiritual doctor (nyanga/sangoma) (includes guide but excludes R50 extra for private visit to “sangoma” for prediction of your well-being.) Be part of the Sihlekisi School Project, whereby part of your donation for the village walk is contributed back to the people of our local community by assisting the primary school with monies for improvements to the school.

	CULTURAL CYCLE TOUR - R 200 P/P Enjoy a 3-4 hour cycle tour through the local villages and country side, feel, and see how the rural people of the area live. Stopping to take photos and talk to local people.
