We at Timbavati believe in creature comforts, and do our utmost to ensure that you, as our guest and friend, enjoy a stay that's as memorable for comfort and tranquility. We offer a selection of chalets and rondawels painted with unique Ndebele art work, all with, en suite bathroom facilities, spotless fittings and a glorious atmosphere of calm and privacy. Some of our chalets overlook a private waterhole.

At the core of the lodge is a sparkling swimming pool, a supremely sociable open-plan bush bar that blends delightfully into the surrounding bush, and a dining area renowned for its mouth-watering cuisine prepared by our resident chefs. Dinner is served in royal African style under the stars in our open safari boma (traditional reed enclosure) or at the pool dining area. The aromatic scents of sizzling meat roasting on the open coals and hearty "potjie" stews linger around the central fire, while the calls of nearby wildlife enhance that unmatchable sense of the mystery of the African bush.

Rondawels, We have 20 delightful rondawels, each with a fan, mosquito nets and en-suite shower, washbasin and toilet. The rondawels, set amid beautiful shady trees, are painted in the colourful Ndebele traditional style, and have been designed and situated to convey an atmosphere of happy relaxation. One double or two single beds.

Two Bedroom and Three Bedroom Chalets

These charming thatched chalets are ideal for families of small groups.
Each chalet has a double bed with en-suite bathroom, and two or four single beds with a shared shower, a private patio, mosquito nets, and fan.
